Hey guys, well I have heard that jenny has ice and as fishable. How far is it safe for? I would imagine with these temp bear gulch won't be to far way. Looking forward to hooking into some lakers and northerns, and running in to so familar faces I only see this year.

I heard a couple weeks ago of someone fishing just around the corner from the parking lot. Have not heard much since then, but there's only one way to find out. Post pictures after you go.

yes i was out their Tuesday and lots of ice it was open by the parking lot but once you get past that it about 6-8" of ice but that was just as the cold was hitting so now it should be more

Hit the ice on Jenny for a couple hours Sunday morning, solid 10+ inches everywhere I drilled.

How far are guys heading out? Are people going towards bear gulch? I think I may head out Sunday for a bit. I'm kinda bummed I sold my flasher, I need to get another. One more question, any idea where I can get smelt?

Anybody catching any fish out at Jenny? I'm planning on going out Saturday and would like to start off my season with a few gills or perch for supper.

Wow, that was poor planning! Just sayin'...

I may be spoiled, but I cannot imagine a time I would leave the house without one. Hope you can replace it soon cadreau!

I was out last sunday afternoon. Caught a few small northern but one of the guys out there was catching crappie and bluegill. I will be out there again tomorrow as well.

Thats what i wanna know, is the ice conditions and see if bear gulch is accessible yet? I will be out on sunday all day and hopefully find a few northerns and see how my new auto icefisherman work.

Was between jenny and bear gulch ice was about 6"

Made it out today and missed a ton of good bites but pulled in a small northern and 3 rainbows and a few perch.

Caught 2 23" Lakers and 5 brown trout. Buddy of mine had a huge rainbow to the hole then his line snapped.

Where were you at snot. I was most to bear in a bay on the right side. Ton of hits just couldn't get it together. Fished anywhere from 12-50fow

I was just before the big rock outcropping before bear gulch in the middle of the channel in a clam shack 46ft of water. Everything we were catching was in that depth range.

We were out early Saturday and landed some nice lakers. Most were under but we got this bad boy!

Also had a nice brown and small pike. Fished 600 meters out and in 35 - 40 fow. Ice was a solid 12" (We were about 200 yds before the other guys in the black house...)

We were using 5" chubs on a rattle spoon. The Pike were biting on dead smelt.

Fished Jenny from 7am to 2 pm. One rainbow landed. Lost another fish. Didn't mark much of anything all day. Fished 45' to 52' dilled a ton of holes about a mile from the parking lot. Great weather, ice was about 6" a mile in. Didn't much further east.

That one was right at 31" and 10 lbs.

Headed out tomorrow morning and looking for info. Just wondering how deep of water and bait that's working the best. I will try to be directly across from the big rock face with a blue clam. If any of yall happen to see me stop by and put a face to the name and see how were doing.
