Mascoma Lake or Pine River Pond ??

Hello... I am looking to try someplace new.

Does anyone know how the white perch fishing or ice thickness is on MASCOMA?

Does anyone know how the crappie fishing is or if there is access onto PINE RIVER POND?

If you are planning on eating your catch, I would not go to Mascoma. They may be fine to eat, but with the A.L.S. found in the water a few years ago, I wouldn't. Just sayin'...
Also, I have had a hard time finding the Mascoma whites in the past. But I'm sure others on here could give you better insight to where they would be located this time of year.

PRP has no access unless you know someone, it is a private pond.

I`ve been by Mascoma quite a bit recently saw 2 shacks out 3 weeks ago , last week no shacks out and one lone soul fisherman. It appears the whitey fishing has gone to hell on the lake.

Been fishing mascoma most my life and that place has let me down the past 5 years or so in the winter.  Maybe I suck at fishing/maybe mascoma sucks...  never can tell. The smelt went away for a few years but are making a come back
