Post by: swampdog on Mar 12, 2014, 08:00 AM
i have to travel to Denver for a business trip next week and plan on bringing along a travel spinning rod if it makes sense.  any suggestions as to what i would be best off targeting and a general idea of where to go within 30 minutes or so of Cherry Creek area?  any help much appreciated.

They are starting to spawn here so try the damn face around dusk and into the night with husky jerks and x raps. Otherwise I thinking a slip bobber and a minnow would work as well.

Sorry swamps of, slater is correct. I didn't take that into consideration. Saturday at 12:00 am the dam closes at night for netting spawners.

From the regs:  "FISHING IS PROHIBITED from the dam and within 100 feet of the dam or walleye spawning operation nets March 15-April 15, 4 p.m. to 9 a.m."
