Well today was my last trip for perch fished from 10:00-3:00 , well the ice was good to start but the wind did a number by 3:00 , with 2 hits the spud went through and they weren’t hard strikes so at that point I called it quits with 26 yellows , wish I could have started earlier , and the males were excited 😜

And release thought it would be appropriate to use that ice for his bourbon Manhattan 😉

that ice does not look good at all.....my hats off to you Freddie you stuck with it to the very end nice fish and glad ya ended with some good eats and came home dry buddy........ now lets let the water drop and go put a hurtin on some trout

Way to stick with it to the end Fred .... I had my last trip of the season today as well .... Still a decent amount of ice just white and weak, heavy rain and wind the next few days will really make conditions dangerous ....finished up with 42 perch 2 males ....

Great job guys! Glad you were able to push your season as far as you did and were able to stay dry!! We're the females you have caught all full of eggs still or had some of them started spawning out?

perch are still full of eggs here ....if the wind blows from the rite direction these next couple days I may be able to fish in my jon boat this weekend

Great way to finish off the season !! with the wind and rain that's comimg I should be able to put the boat in soon. I had a good safe and fun ice season this year, and fished side of some great fishermen, and women. Until next year fellas !!! Sully...

I found some ice to crawl on this morning , I was looking to finish with an LL , managed to hook 1 up but it came unbuttoned, (road apples) 😡 I had a decent ice season
Now it’s time to put my toys away and start trout fishing ,
Sully I feel sorry for those open water perch when your boat hits the water

Probably a wise choice to stay on dry land. Nobody’s wants to end their season with a cold swim or worse...

^^^^^ this was my thinking as well ... I don't think the ice has enough strength to enable a person to get back on top ....those perch will be in there thick at ice out ...

I reviewed my journal last night .... made 32 trips on the ice this season December 17 - april 2 ... 150$ in bait receipts ... good memories ...

Ended my ice fishing in feb when the ice got a little bad and started working the camp. Today we get our cabinets installed,counter tops get measured on Thursday and new flooring in 2weeks. Missed out on some good fishing but in the long run I’ll be happy ( the warden to)
