Looks like the 3 fish 18 inch size limit is working. I was able to land 3 keepers and 6 other shorts from 8 inches to 17 " inches.
1 nice smallmouth and a few small crappie. Fun Times , but very windy with lake effect snow squalls from I guess Lake Ontario or Finger lakes....lots of elbow room out there today.

Grandkids out this afternoon - she hooked and landed her first fish through the ice all on her own.  Classic rocket, came in slammed her lure.  She was all excited, watching the graph and just crazy when it hit.   :P

Apparently he tried to cross a pressure crack and sled went in..News channel 9 showed Bridgeport rescue on an argo pulling in the sled equipment and fisherman all appeared intact.  Any other reports on the ice today??

A bud of mine watched the DEC take a couple of guys in straw hats off the ice in handcuffs today on Lebanon Reservoir. Not sure on the violations or the horse. My friend caught some gills and passed the inspection. Still 5-6" left with a flooded shore line, boot height. 56 deg.

Awesome, It's about time they did their jobs! Now if they would show up in the spring at Lake Moraine with a tape measure to see how many illegal Crappies wingnuts keep that would be a bonus.

we have a total of 33 officers now consider   they can't work 24 hours a day nor 7 days a week and often thanks to the states cut backs they don't even get compensated  for the extra time they put in,i think they do  one  great job..... i thank all the men and women  that try to enforce and protect our laws and  people  ....thankyou

you see violations  get a  cell photo a lic plate  and make a call

I get that they can't be everywhere all the time, but i have called our CO several times about the issues there and nothing happens. He wants you to get video, plate numbers, names, ID, Vehicle descriptions....... some officers are doing a great job ... others need to retire! I talked with a CO at the State Fair and asked him if he knew our CO ..... he said with a cheeky grin ''ya i know him, some guys get older and lose their drive"!  Don't get me wrong, he seems like a great guy and has followed thru with a couple of complaints that i sent him and he responded with updates of the situation but just seems there could be a better visual presence that may deter some of the BS

Nice Smitty Sled Zeker! That won't be tipping over like that old red sled...

I remember losing soo many minnows in the early years using one of those plastic sleds!

Always wanted to put outriggers on it! Then I bought a snowmobile and built a Fish Trap!

Then it was Game On!! Lmao ;D Nice artwork too...a perch Z...

Good luck fishin' & stay safe out there...
