I can't seem to find them here or on the conditions threads. I come every year from Rochester a couple times. love that lake. I guess something must have happened and they are shut down? sorry,  due to weather and other things I am getting going a little late this yr. but would like to know the conditions/fishing reports before making the trip. they were always very informative and good reading. just curious.

took a walk around big bay this morning with hopes of fishing for the day. "NOT" !!!!! I cut around 15 to 18 holes. there's about 8" of snow followed by 6" of slush. there's 8 to 10" of ice, but the top 6 to 8" is rotten, candled, chunks when you cut it ice !!! hightailed it back to shore, and am currently putting my hardwater gear away for the season !! it's not worth my life !! it doesn't matter how cold it's going to get. rotten ice stays rotten ice !! the days are getting longer, and the angle of the sun is getting higher. you may be able to get on some fresh ice after this warm up, and freeze, but I would walk softly, and use your spud !!!   Sully...

Your quitting on the 7th of February? Sad, but if you only play on one lake I guess you had no season. Ill cut through 14" of rock hard ice this week. Just down the road....

now  Oneida  isn't the only water we  fish  but  when you have the   states  best   walleye and perch water in your  back yard it's hard to get away

It really didn't have anything to do with Oneida but I digress.

I am home sick as a dog today so I was looking back at some old posts from a few years ago. There is so much great info in those old posts. If someone wanted to learn Oneida, the information is all right here at your fingertips.

Locations, lures, techniques. Not that it is very useful this year but it's there when someone needs it. That stuff doesn't need to be rehashed.
