I am new to this site. I was reading some of the forums. I came across some talking about a tip down. could someone explain to me what is a tip down is. And why would one is it and for. Thanks

It is a setup where a stand hold a rod where the tip sicks up at an angle. When you get a bite your pole will tip down. I have not used one but have seen others use them for pan fish. Ussually they are used in set of how many lines you can fish with. They work great if you are fishing with others and you have them scattered out and if its a nice day out.
