any tips on the whole smoking process for pike.
never smoked fish before! ???

Kingfish,  Try posting in the cuisine area.  I would say that Pike have to low an oil content to smoke properly.  Not to say that it can't be done!  The lower the oil content, the dryer the final product will end up.  You can smoke anything, but be carefull not to over cook them, these fish are extremely lean.  You may want to kipper them instead.
