tightlining the soft bite

its incredible how much you keep learning no matter what kind of experience you think you have. while i seldom rig tipups, and rarely use more than one rod,  yesterday continued my belief in tightlining. (also see post on nine live minnows in general chit chat). the bite was so soft as it has been in the past several trips, that the only way you knew a fish was around was your rod tip stopped moving and you could only see a light ripple around your line in the hole. i'd wait and watch and slam them, and most of the time, catch them.these fish would actually lip your live minnow off if you weren't paying attention. i know its not always like this but when other anglers pop by and ask how you're doing, they figure you're sitting on a hot spot!!! JIGGING for these fish did not produce one fish!! for what its worth, i hope this helps grumpy >:( DOES THIS EXPLAIN ALOT OF FALSE FLAGS OR DROPPED BAIT FROM FEELING TENSION ON THE LINE?????
