That's my friend Kelly Brooks! Her, I, and another friend got 7 fish that day - hers was the biggest. Not the biggest fish in the lake at a little over 7 pounds and 31", but she was tickled pink! Biggest trout she had gotten, and she jigged it up after only 10-15 minutes on the ice!

That is awesome!! Must have been a blast to jig that up! Great catch! Sounds like a perfect day to wind down the winter..

Jeez I think you guys are better at making fish look bigger on camera than I am, that's a feat! I've been practicing for years. Still a beauty fish! Nice work

Oh wow, that's an impressive fish!  I think my rotator cuff would complain if I held it out like that for the camera.

Really nice fish and congrats to the fisher lady.  That fish looks skinny though.  I usually figure a 30 inch laker in good condition should weigh 10 pounds.  That being said, they can have over 3 pounds of food in their stomachs.  Maybe it just hadn't eaten in awhile.

Honestly, when I saw the picture I thought it had to be at least 15lbs. Either way, great catch and great photographer  :)

I've always found that lakers are very light for their lengths which is why that one was only 7 lbs. Depends on the feed as well. That monster salmon from the cowbanks would have been a new record had it been a pre-spawn fish.
