Not the biggest fish in the lake at a little over 7 pounds and 31", but she was tickled pink! Biggest trout she had gotten, and she jigged it up after only 10-15 minutes on the ice!

I usually figure a 30 inch laker in good condition should weigh 10 pounds. That being said, they can have over 3 pounds of food in their stomachs. Maybe it just hadn't eaten in awhile.

I did not get on the ice till 11:30 (had to work in the am) started north of the cluster fished till 4:00pm filled 1- 7gal. bucket.

Post by: VTMatt on Mar 28, 2015, 10:24 PM: I've always found that lakers are very light for their lengths which is why that one was only 7 lbs. Depends on the feed as well. That monster salmon from the cowbanks would have been a new record had it been a pre-spawn fish.
