Thanks.  This has become such a great salmon ice fishing season.  I have heard of so many multiple salmon catches this year that I'm starting to think Schroon may becoming the premier ll salmon fishery in the Adirondacks, if this continues. Time will tell.

Wow, today was a slowwwww day.  No flags, 10 tip ups, at my salmon spot.  2 short lakers on the jig.  Great day though, jeans and a shirt. So far I'm lovin my Ion electric 8" auger.

You didn't miss anything after you left. I stayed & still had no flags. More smelt though. Nice talking to you out there. Plenty of time for talk since it was so slow. Gotta take the hat off tomorrow though. Sun burnt w/ a white section covered by the hat.

Is the shoreline still solid enough to access the ice with an ATV?

Not over yet.  Highs in the twenties, lows around 10.  Schroon should be good for a while.

Fished in the pouring rain the other day. No luck.   Only person out there.    Still had good ice.   Gonna head up this weekend.  Might try loon for a bit.
