They were originally used to put thread on a needle for sewing. They adapted very well for fishing.

tend to fish with some small flies (16-10's) and i also tend to paint the eyes shut...
and i'm old!!

thats a half cloged 14 i believe..
slide the line thru the loop and pull out thru the eye

I thought it was some sort of trick question at first ::) I think pretty much anybody who has tied on an ice fly knows what it is at a glance.
How many times do I gotta go through holes before I watch where I'm going? I am an amateur fisherman, but an all star minnow drowner!

sold at local stores but they are pretty chincy so i soldered up "the bug".

definatly helpful in cold weather.....

will put a few out under the garage light this summer and see how they work on the june bugs...lol!!.  good answer!!
