Marb Reds and Mt. Dew, if I'm feeling fancy maybe a bag of cheese curds.  Jerky is pretty good too.

Taco's, always make them from leftovers. scrambled eggs, roast beef, hamburger, covered with cheese, 2 in a package, throw them in the freezer, and take them out the night before, and take them with me on the ice. Buddy heater gets them good and hot.

A sleeve of Garlic Ritz Crackers and I have to force myself to slow down to eat. I will sleep when I am dead, eat when I am home (more like driving too and back), but I am on the ice to fish!

This is only if we got the kiddos or bigger group.  Otherwise it’s peanut butter crackers, dark chocolate, and some seeds or nuts.

Ice fishing or zany sort of camping is as much about the food as the fishing for me. I like to bring the camp chef for a big day or over night trip and cook up something like a fresh seared trout linguine or make a nice stew or chili from scratch on the ice. It is rare to have a day where the ice fishing doesn't die off in afternoon for a few hours so I set some jawjackers with bells and get to cooking and drinking with the crew, makes for a good day out no matter how the fishing is.

When pursuing piscatorial pursuits on lakes that have overcome the latent heat of fusion I enjoy Beef Wellington pastry wrapped with truffles and a dusting of Beluga Caviar... or a baloney sandwich...

Ice fishin' & turtlin's all I crave...

Always enjoy Jerky and different nut mixes as a snack. I have recently been bringing my backpacking camp stove out on the ice with me for some hot food. Dont think i can go back. Mac n Cheese and Dogs on the ice just hit a little differently

It's a skill not many can master.  I caught the biggest fish of the day while grilling those sausages with a Schooley rod.  Not too involved occasionally flipping dogs and sausages!

trail mix, cup of noodles, and granola or chips.
