I'll be honest with you if the ice doesn't look good down there I'm heading back up north of Hyw 70 where we have 4 inches of hard clear ice with no slush.

Eric, do you ever fish on Potato lake on the north side of 70? We might need to get together sometime and try a lake up in that direction. Have fun and e safe this weekend guys. I am going to entertain my new pup and try to get some sleep today. :tipup:

It’s pouring rain right now in western polk county. About half of the 17” of snow we got is now gone. Maybe if we are lucky the lakes around here will open back up and freeze right this time. I feel sorry for the poor saps who are out trying to catch a meal today.

Didn't take any pics mostly cause of the rain they I forgot about it but the turnout was pretty good the ice was getting kinda sketchy towards the end. We caught some bluegills and perch probably would have got more but we didn't couldn't move around to much but hopefully we can get another together.

It was nice meeting you guys, to bad the weather/rain was crap. After we left we went home my daughter got some dry clothes on and we tried another lake by my house, got a few small ones, the high light of my day was about a 12" lm bass. Anyway beats the heck out of sitting at home looking out the window or watching tv. Next time better weather conditions I'm sure. We still put fish on the ice, and I also forgot to take some pics, oh well.
