Wisconsin members posting.
« on: Jul 02, 2012, 10:49 PM »
All of us fellow cheese heads need to make the wisconin blog more active. all the other stats have people posting just about every day and we have a delay of like 10 days. so I will start a new thing just replie to this if you are from wisconsin and checked the wisconsin blog today. Its starting to look like we are from wisconsin and dont even care about the ice fishing culture in our own state.

I just told my nephew today he should start praying for more ice this season. He is on the high school ice fishing team and already itching for ice along with me. This heat is hard to deal with, and we both hate summer!!

I set this topic to be sticky so it stays at the top of the other threads. we may get more action if it don't get buried. post away guys.

Ive gone a couple times in this hot weather and the action seems to be gone because of the hot weather and warm waters. I fish the most in colombia and marquett counties on the fox river lakes.

I have been trying to get up on Mason Lake by Briggsville but everytime we get it planned, the heat kicks in.

I am here, roasting in Oconto County.....just south of "Da Falls". I went fishing on Parker Lake down in Adams County. I used my jigging rod just for fun and caught alot of gill and sunfish. Just not the same without ICE! I am using this "non-ice" season to get some gardening done and clean up my "honey-do" list before its time to get back out on the sheet...... I love my Harley but summer sucks!

Definately dog days of summer come early with this heat!!  Good for the garden though, won't be long and I'll be canning and freezing all the goodies I need to make for Chilli and other yummy stuff on the ice this winter!!

I've been getting out as much as I can between work and things around the house. The crappies are down in their summer hang outs and with all the recreational boaters it can be hard to fish. Planning a trip to Castle Rock the first weekend in August with my dad. Can't wait!

Little heads up for you guys with electronics, foolin around today with my Zercom locator and Aqua Vu Fish cameras and thought hey, be a good day to discharge and recharge my gel cell batteries, after doing that for a few hours I noticed I was missing a battery or 2 and after searching found 2 of them in my Fish House/Camper overhead storeage bin, put em on the charger and nothing! thought what the heck, looked em both over good and saw they were both split right down the sides, seems the recent last couple of weeks of extreme heat had made them swell and crack and now there worthless!! I know they were ok this spring so they didn't freeze.  :'(  Guess I'll have to be a little more cautious where I store them during the off season.......
Anybody seen them on sale lately??

I feel your pain. The rivers are really low and the lakes are the lowest I've seen them in years.
