Jigging, Bait, and Giant Trout
« on: Feb 07, 2018, 11:54 AM »
Wanted to take another poll. Ive had more success landing big trout using spoons or jigs as compared to tip ups or jawjackers with bait. However, I've been hearing that a lot of the monsters are caught on spawn sacks or live minnows. I'm not asking for anyone to share their lucky lure or bait, I would just like to hear some opinions on what has produced more of the bigger fish through the ice.
It doesn't sound that appealing to most people I talk to, but going out onto a frozen lake and staring into a hole for the day is my favorite thing to do.
