Anybody check the ice on prompton dam lately?

Don’t know about Promton but Belmont had 12 plus last Sunday Round pond had 8 inches on Saturday

Do not know anything about Belmont or round pond. Are these fishing spots producing any decent bites? Thank you for the reply.

Got a few nice perch on Belmont and some pickerel, round pond only a couple of pickerel and small perch Did best at Stillwater dam got a punch of nice perch and crappie

Belmont is in Wayne county Stillwater and round pond are in Susquehanna county

Thank you. Went out today caught 6 nice bluegill jigging. Was at sylvan lake,luzerne county.

Fished Prompton yesterday. Good ice right from shore. Was windy but fish were biting fairly well.
This morning went back to walk the dogs. The lake was empty at sunrise, but the parking lot was filling up when we left at 8:00.

Fished Belmont today got 5 nice perch , 2 small mouth bass that were keepers and the usual pickerel going to give long pond a try tomorrow or Promton

Got 2 nice perch and a bunch of pickerel didn’t make it far today had to plow and cinder in morning fished Lake Eire in Forest city got there around 11am fishing was slow now got to work till Saturday

At least you got some ice time. Might not make it to Prompton until Sunday. Was there only one time this year,actually it was my fist time ever there. Ended up catching a 18" bass and a few gills. My new favorite place. lol

Prompton is a pretty good lake I have had luck there in the past hopefully we don’t get a lot of rain tomorrow and the temps don’t stay warm for long not ready to put ice gear away yet

I agree,it looks like a warm up the next few days then a cool down. March is around the corner, so get out as much as possible.

Anybody have any updates? Thought maybe someone might of been at prompton this past weekend. Hope to go there this weekend, maybe for the last time this season.

Not personal experience Mitcher, but friends were there on Saturday and reported 14" of ice.  No problem getting off or on.  Should be good to go for quite a while.

My friend was there said 12- 16 inches on lake ice was all good and being cold all this week except Friday should be fine for awhile
