I have searched everywhere for this unit. Any places in Ontario(preferably around Ottawa)that sell this Flasher.

Well Andrew I don't think your going to find one in the Ottawa area lad and will have to go stateside as I did . Best buy at the moment on last years model is reeds sports at $279 usd and fishing pro store at 300 usd . Super deals considering these retailed for $399-$429 usd last year .

I guess it would be less of a hassle just to get the fl-8, although the marcum seemed to have more features.I will have to look into it . Only about 2 more weeks until I make the final decision.

Well it's not really a big hassle and cheaper in the long run if you consider the extra features and complete package your getting lad . Last time I checked the fl-8 was $459 or $469 cdn at CT and you don't get the soft pack etc and the fl-8 isn't even in the same league as the LX-3 nor is the fl-18 for that matter . Neither have the features of the Marcum LX-3 so why limit yourself .

Its your choice and one I respect but I also like to see people get the most they can for their hard earned coin and you will regret spending that much money if you ever see an LX-3 beside the fl-8 and see what you could have got instead and for less money than an fl-8

fishing world in Hamilton is bringing in the marcum line this year. i ordered mine from fishingprostore it arrived ups in a week total cost $360

Just visited the FW website....Apparently Marcum is reluctant to deal with Canadian stores.

HI ALL

I send 3 e mail to MARCUM,,,and they never reply one off them,,,,,,,,

i think they wont bother whit canadian customer,,,,or helse,,,,dont no,,,

....

and try everything to find a place to get them in ontario or quebec,,,,,,,,,,no where to find them,,,,,

so i got a vex 18...................i never heard anything bad about them,,,,,and so mutch people fish whit them around here,,,,,,,,,,,

i am sher marcum is great,,,,but hey why not selling there product in canada...

so i went for what all the fellow great ice fisherman ((told me to go for)in ottawa region and got a vex,,,,

but as trapperdirk said there good,,,,,,,,,,,mabe i dont no,,,

mabe one day,,,will get a marcum ,,,,,,,i am not hook on anything,,,,,

I talked to Ed at paddletales, and he told me that marcum products are available to him.

''The Marcum's would sell at $432.95 for the LX1 and $464.89 for the LX3, again including bouth taxes. Delivery for the models not in stock is about a week to 10 days. ''

i guess it didn't pan out then for fishingworld to stock the marcum. mike was saying he was in touch with them a was just finalizeing priceing in oct. and that they would be in mid to late nov.

i was in there last fri and they did not have much of the ice gear out. pete was saying it would all be up this week.
