Just want to know what you boys plan to do for first ice. for me, it always is couchiching for some perch. She always freezes about a week before simcoe.

Around here on the Ottawa, I always start my season off at the Petrie Islands for early ice Crappies. Usually solid enough by mid December on my favourite bay and this is the best time of the season for numbers of fish (IMO anyway). By the new year, we'll drag our shack out on an adjacent bay for walleye, pike, and ling. Can't frickin wait...

Cooks Bay on Simcoe for some Jumbo's. Love that springy ice.

We ever it freezes first kind of have an addiction for pike fishin ...Just a big ole pond to start off the year with a first bite .....dyummmm been a long summer !

Man, I don't want to jinx anything, but the 15 day forecast is looking very nice. I hope we have ice on simcoe for christmas.
