Fished it last weekend.  Ice was 6-8in. with a foot of slush coverd by 6-8in. of snow.

How is the easiest to access Chambers?  Can you get there from the Wyoming side or is that road closed in the winter?  Also how close can you drive to the lake?  Thinking about a trip up there in a couple of weeks.  Any info would be appreciated.

The Laramie River Road is definitely closed in the winter, so you're not driving there from either Wyoming or Colorado.
As far as I know the best bet is to snowshoe or cross-country ski in via one of the campground roads off of Route 14 the Poudre Canyon Road.
(You could also go in my snowmobile off the Laramie River Road.)

There are Lakers (Mackinaws) in there, though nothing too big.
