The thing is the that road has more gravel than the road I drive to go to my hunting ground since it used to be a haul road for the coal mining. They just do not maintain it well enough. You can not tar and chip it one year and expect it to last 10. If they would just drag it out with the drag they have the road would be fine. Also need to keep the UPS and Fed Ex guys out with the delivery trucks.
There is access to the front lake from the west but you have to drop your stuff down an embankment about 8 foot to get on the water or drag through grass a long way to get onto the lake. I am considering getting a wagon to drag stuff to osprey or further.
I was there today also and only found 1.5 to 2" of ice on the front lake. That is the only one I checked. The center was open with geese on it still
