Free Shiners
« on: Mar 19, 2017, 05:52 PM »
In Lee, NH.
For anyone who is still in need of bait....
If traveling works for you, I have 12 to 15 dozen shiners I want to give away.
Pins to larges.

I want to shut down my tank within a week.
Hate to toss em, but I will.
PM if interested.

CD, Went to fish up in the Littleton area last Sat and there was no bait in 3 different towns . You should have given the shiners to the bait shops !  ;D ;D

be a shame to just toss them, unless you mean to set them free.

Thanks folks. All the shiners are spoken for.
Interesting that the bait shops are short, but that recent warm weather probably made them hesitant to restock?
Setting them free was not an option for me. It's neither ethical nor legal. I don't want to risk introducing anything inappropriate in public waters.

Roccus' situation is completely different. I often wished I had my own shiner pond.

We'd have paid any price as the lack of bait ruined our plans !  :(

I'm all about making money, but pretty far south and lacking a dealer's license.  :(

As a bait dealer in the littleton area, Bethlehem to be exact the reason none of us had bait this past week, was the wholesaler we all used, was unable to deliver due to the weather. I will be getting bait in on Thursday for any one looking to fish this weekend.

Thanks Chris

Thinking of doing the same, just to be sure to have some for the weekend. Hopefully the shiner "bite" will be back on, since in December it went cold (no pun intended).
