just wondering what you guys have for goals this year, what BP do you want to break, or maybe a new spieces that you have'nt caught, or a lake that you will try to visit this year?

Bigger then 40" pike
Catch more Bowfin out of the Oxbow
Fish Pontusac and Onota
Get on the ice in December lol

Get out every day I can and have a great time doing it.

After fishing in pain all last year I'm just hoping I can be more mobile than I was last year. Maybe I'll even be able to pull my sled instead of making my buddy do it.

First ice for me last year was Dec. 10th. I wouldn't mind getting on some ice in MA prior to that this year as well.

some of you guys want to ice a carp, what kind of bait would you use? i assume dead bait?

Ice a Carp. 40" pike. Walleye. Fish VT as much as I can. Trip to Oneida in NY. Fish Maine for Pike. Get on the ice as early as possible. And lastly after the last couple seasons pushing it to the limits. Stay on top of the ice

Yes, def want to stay on top of the ice. I got wet leaving once last year and don't want to repeat that debacle.

We should get a few of us on a spot and bait it and nail some of these things this winter

If there is ice on Beach Pond this year I would like to try for a walleye. Bowfin would be sweet as well...never caught one of those through ice or in open water.

I am only up Rt2 a little ways in Athol, let me know when you are ready to get out and I will be happy to put you on some fish.
Also, hope to see you and your son at the ice fishing gathering at the Saturday, December 2nd Gardner Ale House, Gardner MA at 1:00pm.

For carp - corn where legal or bread ball. Boilies another option. I do not think catching a carp is all that hard with determination, its getting it through a hole. lol
