Title: Where to go for the last week of ice.
Post by: flat liner on Mar 25, 2018, 11:05 PM
I have been out quite a few times this ice season, yesterday we tried the mouth and Pruden with only a fish or 2 at each stop. As we moved along the short closer to Balsom we started to do better. I ended the day with a 30, 26 and 9 averaging 18. I have heard also that the bite has moved closer to Balsom.

I was out at Balsam in 18' of water (14' below the ice) last Saturday. We caught 8 'eyes in a few hours but we didn't move. Pretty dicey getting on at Rd. #103 in the SUV though.

Not sure what we'll find this Saturday so if anyone can recommend an access point where an SUV can still drive through, I'd sure appreciate it.
