Biggest on was 45" caught in Quebec a number of years back but here's the biggest of 2005 caught and released in NY waters. Still looking for that 4 footer. I know it's out there with my name on it.

I've never actually fished for pike, although I've caught a few incidentally while fishing for other species.  Last year I caught one that was 32" on a tipdown with a 4lb. test leader....it took me at least 10 minutes to get him up through the hole. He was released to fight another day.

I just got back into Ice Fishing a couple years ago but caught a couple about 28 or 29" along time ago. The biggest Northern I ever cought was on a Dare Devel in the summer of 83 it was 39 1/2" about 17+ lbs. Here in Michigan of coarse.   ;D

I too have cought a few Pike while using a small minnow for Crappies on just a plain old diddle rod with 4# line, One last year was 24". Much Fun !!

I agree with you there. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the tape measure don't lie, but the crappy spring loaded scales leave a lot to be desired. Might have to invest in something a little more accurate if I'm going to weigh more fish.

39", around 18 lbs.  CPR practiced.  Actually, I caught it while sitting on a lay z boy in the house i grew up in at northern MN.  Caught alot of pike b/t 30" and 36" like that.  Just throw the tipups out and wait in the house.  We had windows overlooking the lake, so I could set 'em all the way down the weedline.  And you guys think you have a nice ice fishing shelter!   ;D

Biggest through the ice was 38" probably around 11-12lbs (was C & R The smaller ones are better eating mmmm tasty) from Lake Champlain on the vermont side. The guys I used to fish with on Champlain have gotten a few 40" pike but they ussually only run 14-15lbs,some reason they arent huge. I dont know why, theres a billion small perch and smelt in that lake.

Whats with all the open water stuff? Some nice pics though.  My biggest through the ice is 43" didn't weigh it.  I fish Manitoba and catch a lot of 34-40 inchers through the ice.
