Spooner flowage had ice on it. Skims of ice here and there.  Need some single digit nights and it will be gametime!

I'm hopping we're only about 2 1/2, to 3 weeks away. Weather permitting.

There was about 15 feet of ice from shore to water yesterday but the rain took care of it today.  With the cold temps that are coming, I will be out by Saturday.

Pretty warm here in Wautoma today, rain and all.  However with the cold front moving in and the cold nights, it shouldn't be more than a week and a half for the small ponds, maybe two weeks for the smaller lakes..  Just wishfull thinking I suppose.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

18 deg. at 8:45 am in Wautoma.  Going to be cold again tonight.  Too much wind though.  Without the wind we'd be making ice.

I hunted for ice this morning, found a small pond with 2" and tried the tip ups today before the snow comes.  2 small bass.  I got a picture of the tip up. I will post when I get home.

Chetek Chain was frozen all the way over.  I tried walking out but sound of ice that is 3/4" thick scared me off.

If we get a bunch of snow today and tomorrow it will ruin that ice..

Looks like for the most part the snows are over.  We didn't even get an inch, so ice production will not be affected here.

Freezing good here in the Stevens Point area.

Hopefully the temps will stay like they are.
Cold and calm is best.

No rain or snow will also make it a lot better.

I found 2" of good ice! I'm giving it 1 more night, (12deg for a low) then I'll try it tomorrow. (If my buddy will go with.)

Just got back from lunch and I saw that the East River here in Green Bay(Allouez) under county road O was frozen over from bank to bank.  ;D  I'm sure it wasn't all that thick but at least it's a start!

Some of the lakes around Rice Lake are closed up now. If we can refrain from getting a bunch of snow we should have great ice this year. Maybe even be out in a week.

one of the lakes near Wautoma has about 2 - 3 inches.  Gonna be out soon.  Everything is loaded and ready to go.
Shut up and fish.
