I just picked up a Fenwick ELITE TECH- Ice Rod 28" ML and it is proving awesome for perch ......

spend the $97 and get a stealth rod from Thorne Bros.  Never look back. Bought two want two more!

Ha! To your 6 year old original post - try looking at Sportsmen's Directs Extreme Taper Rods.  Exactly what u were looking for, but maybe u already have a few by now?   :)

I have a Extreme Taper Rod and love it.

I bought their Extreme Taper 24" and 34" glass rods as well as their 32" carbon fiber - they are really nice rods.  I also bought their 32" Flat Line 2.0 glass rod, again just a sweet rod and IMHO a better made rod than the 13 Fishing Tickle Stick which I also own two of and both have broken tips.

I dare say:

Add St Croix Mojo rods now and 13 Wicked Ice rods too.

Time for me to retire the old Ugly Stick ice rods and older St Croix Premier ice rods.
