Frostbite dinner bell lures
« on: Jan 01, 2022, 08:59 AM »
For anyone interested the frosbite dinner bell micro spoons are back in stock. They've been out of stock for a while and were impossible to get anywhere. Supposed to be the hottest thing this year. Ordered a bunch in different colors. We'll see as soon as we get some ice. On line at frostbite USA.

I got sucked into the hype and purchased a couple different sized ones.  Like 'em so far.  Bigger size got me a PB largemouth (18.25") and a smaller pike.  Had a good size crappie absolutely attack the mid size one.  Haven't quite figured out the micro sizes and panfish, though.

Bought some last year and they did work! Got a few of the same style from J&S Jigs this year, yet to try them out, hopefully soon!

I run a chain hook on the smaller ones usually about an inch

These things are such a gimmick! They do not catch any more fish than other lures will. They are shilled by popular YouTube guys and everyone thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread.

Look I like Jay Seimens as well, but his buddies own the company so he is OVER selling these things. They have been on the market for many years under another name. It is just now they are popular because some guys with names have mentioned them.

Marketing is everything.

I always thought J & S was the original maker/seller of these a quite some time ago, but I could be wrong.  I even think he had a short stint collaborating with Frostbite and it didn't work out.
