This year I purchased a Convoy S2+ Nichia 365nm for this specifically. It is basically a blacklight flashlight that is very powerful and runs off of 18650 batteries. I haven't fully tested it but it is pretty insane with charging glow and won't blind you like a normal flashlight in the dark. If you add a UV filter is will be even more stealth as virtually no purple light will be emitted to the visible eye. Mind you, the fish might be able to see UV so you might have to watch where you are flashing the light over the ice to not spook the fish.

I have looked into lots of other devices which some are better with convenience or better design than a basic flashlight but they all were lacking in someway to make me try this. My cost was much lower as I already had the battery and charger.

The flashlight was $20 on GearBest and a battery and charger is probably as cheap as $10 on Amazon, Gearbest, ebay, etc.

Here is some stuff to read.

I remember a post on here a few years back where a guy taped a pocket flashlight to the bottom of a clear pill bottle the would put the hook inside close the lid and turn the light on. I tried it but I used a big enough bottle I could keep a few glow hooks inside  If your fishing with 2 rods you can even leave the line on the hook and fish with the second rod.

Are you asking more recent than the jager cup? The guy has a site if you google "jager cup" it will pop up. 3d printed, and have heard rave reviews on here of them. You can even connect to your flasher if you chose to go that route :) P.S. when googling the site you must specify jager cup ice fishing or youll be directed to some rather nice drinking cups.

I looked back at an old post and found that a member of tbe shanty that goes by JohnsonArcher is the man that produces them, so possibly a p.m. would be a quick and easy contact.

The jäger cup is nice, but it isn't very deep. Works great on small lures but larger walleye spoons don't fit the best.

The lure lightning is a POS don't bother with it.

For flashlights the venom flashlight works well.

So far I mostly use a glow dip cup I made.....not sure why vexilar doesn't make one. It is deep enough for walleye spoons. Got the LED strip off eBay for $4, used a souvenir cup....works great. I'll put a clear solo cup in it to catch water drips and keep the hooks from catching the LED strip.

I've used the small flashlight from Venom floats, and bought a second one soon after..

Works great, built tough, only takes one AA (one AA is my favorite thing about it).. Smaller than a Bic lighter...

Beam is focusable, so if you want, you can charge from a distance too...

That's the one I got....why do they have a flash light exactly like it but a different colored light?

Huh, interesting.. Hard to describe, but both mine are the same, both are similar to blacklight, but more intense without being brighter??? Clear as mud lol...

Slight exaggeration.. I have a Bic now, and not much bigger anyway.. Definitely smaller than the other lights running off three AAAs...

Interesting to say the least...

It does seem like the spectrum of lights that luminesce the glow jigs the most are not necessarily brighter to our eyes..

Those are represent my findings as well...

it has a double connecter for the flasher and the cup. It has a switch on it. You won't drain your battery.

You can search Amazon for 365nm uv flashlights which will all do a good job. Most of them will look like the venom flashlight. Prices range from $5-$30 by the time you either get free ship or pay shipping you'll be looking at about $10.

I don't think there will be much difference since they all are 365 nm.....the ones that can focus a beam might be a touch better.

I bought a couple small UV flashlights on ebay for about $10. They work well.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.
