So, double the amount of it, based on what the auger calls for.
what a bummer, Ive used the wrong oil or mix all these years
I'm not sure why Amsoil guys are so scared of oil.
"It always amazes me. That one will by a Strike Master or Jiffy auger and not use the oil Jiffy or Strike Master have for their own products. Ether way after pouring your oil into your gas. " I guess I didn't know that Strike Master or Jiffy had their own oil refineries?
I bought 1 gallon of ultra 93 at a Sunoco station yesterday. 1 small bottle of Amsoil and the proper amount of STARLITE treatment. Both augers started up easy and ran great. Very, very little smoke. Had to look at it running to the side to notice. Now to find some good ice to officially test them. Kim
If I'm not mistaken, that gas has ethanol in it. 91 no-ox, skip the starlite if you use Amsoil, and it will run just as good, and last longer. In response to Idahogator, Amsoil seems to have a great lab, and turns out great products. Where they lack is the marketing department.
This will be the last ever post concerning this, at least from me. Higher octane does NOT mean the gas is NON-ethanol. Non-ethanol DOES have a higher OCTANE RATING, because it does NOT contain Ethyl-alcohol. But, you can also get Ethanol with a higer octane, like the Sunoco 93 or 94 octane. OCTANE is a rating AND a chemical additive. And yes, The Sunoco does contain Ethanol. From their site:As stipulated by most automobile manufacturers, Sunoco fuels contain no more than 10% ethanol.Only way to make sure is to check that the gas says "non-oxygenated" or contains no Ethyl-alcohol.
