Yeah I catch walleye on heritage Lakers.  They are pretty flexible.   Heritage lakers are known for a couple of features... big spools and high easy to see flags.  This is ideal for typical trout fishing.  They also are pretty well built, affordable,  and have smooth reliable trip mechanisms.  This makes them a pretty good choice for most applications.

If I were only going to fish for walleye I might choose a beaver dam or similar..

Can some give me a accurate measurement on the length of a heritage laker when folded up? my storage box is only 24". Just trying to find out if they would fit.

Mine measure about 31.5 inches with the flag removed.

I bought a Heritage Laker from Fish USA, I haven’t had a chance to set it up yet but seems like a quality rig. Was wondering with the large spool how much line are you guys running on it?

I put some thin nylon string for backing, maybe 1/4 of spool, then fill the rest with 25-30 lb braided dacron/nylon.  1/8" from top of spool.
The only time I learn something is when I'm not talking.
