Eastern iowa ice conditions

Anyone had the opportunity to see where everything is at?  the ponds around me look pretty black right now.

I'm around Waterloo and all the places I fish are good. No problems here, doubt we lose any ice.

On a pond or the river backwaters?

backwaters are no good in SE iowa unless you have a 30' plank lol river went up a foot today, gonna go up another foot tomorrow. Check back after the next cold snap

My 3 acre pond has 9" of hard ice in the middle but the shoreline melted over the weekend. Looking at the forecast, its going to be another week before I get on the ice around here. I'm heading to fish pool 11 backwaters this weekend hopefully
