What's the ticket cost for not having your ATV registered but out on the lake?

8 years ago it was $145 or something, I'm sure it has gone up since....$17.50 is a lot cheaper at the court house....Well $22.50 now with late fee....

Buddy got a ticket in 2006 and his was $75.  His was sitting on the ice (unstarted).  We rolled if off the back of a snowmobile trailer to get at the hut...battery was dead.  Still got a ticket.

if u bought it with a bill of sale, but no title, u can get it bonded and then registered. Courthouse can tell u how.

It's $225 + $63 court cost way cheaper to register it in the long run

I just went through this with my ATV with no title last year.  Contact the DNR and they will direct you to a site to get a form and instructions on how to title and register your ATV.  It is simple if it has never been titled before.  You just have it inspected at the cop shop to make sure it isn't stolen and they fill out a form then the DNR gives you a title and then you register it at your local court house.  If it has been titled out of state then the DNR will get a copy of the title from the state it was previously titled in and then you have to go through some bonding process.  I might be a little off on some of this information but the main thing is contact the DNR in Des Moines and they will help you out.
