i have done it with standard fishermans knots, just make sure you do like 12 wraps and you should be good to go.

Sure, if you don't mind getting bit off.........Otherwise, no. Braid would be my very last choice for pike. Any other plastic (fluoro or hard nylon) my next to last.
Of course, there will be dissenting opinions.........
Just my opinion based on my experiences...........
...User mileage may vary.

I agree, braid does not make the best leader material even though you can by leaders made out of braid in stores. Titanium, steel or heavy fluorocarbon leader would be a better choice.
If you want to give the braid a try I would tie 2 lengths of your leader materiel to the same attachment and snap, that way if a pike cuts one length of braid you have a backup.

Even small pike can slice through thick braid like nothing if it catches their teeth just right.
I agree that braid would be the very last material I would choose for pike leader

try some toothey critter leader I think its made by cortland,I bought some a few years ago at gander mtn its good stuff a little hard to tie but once you get the right knot its not so bad I found that wrapping the line around itself 5 times and then back through the loop in the line by the hook worked best for me

Braid or Fleuro is not strong enough to overcome the cutting areas on pike teeth. Everyone here does know that pike teeth are like a (non-symmetrical) pyramid ... there are razor edges going up the tooth; they're not just pointy at the end, right? Cuts non-wire leaders easily.
Use titanium if you want a flexible, non-kinking, long lasting wire leader.

braid is good for anything BESIDES a leader, those toothy critters will tear right through it
