anyone drive thru hague today? I know the main lake was frozen this past sunday but i'm wondering about the bays are they still 5-7" thick?  Friends pt south was open as of last weekend. Does anyone fish Lake Rd. just south of bolton? What's the ice like there any luck? PM me or open forum message if you feel comfortable.. Thx

It's only a couple miles to get out beyond Long island.  ;D
Harris might be the longest walk you could possibly take on LG to get to deep water.
Look on the other side of the lake for good spots to do both.
Sawmill, Cotton point, Huddle, Bixby Beach rd... All decent spots to do what you're saying.
The angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the beat.

thank you perchslyr. I'll try one of those spots this weekend. It's nice to be able to fish both at one spot instead of traveling around the lake or doing on one day and one the next.

Be aware the Winter Carnival will be going on and it will be pretty busy in that area, the motorcycle races on ice are this weekend.

Anyone going out at fort ann beach next few days be careful of pressure ridges out in front . Today walking off there was a ridge 3 inch's wide walk ten feet then another one and then 20 ft another . found a few places that you could fall throw easily in ridge lines. also noticed ice was starting to honey comb but we have some more cold nights and days coming.

Look for the shanty-towns and its not unusual to find perch in 40' on lg. Schools run in the same size class so be willing to move a few hundred yards if your into the dinks ::)
