Battery charging clips, should be able to get them at most hardware stores or auto parts stores, I have also used them to make depth finders.

Clip on lead plumbs are only a buck at my local bait shop. Are you really gonna save money making your own?

I have the Do-It depth finder mold to cast these.
They're cheap to make if you get the clips for a decent price.
I prefer the non copper versions.
As others have said they're available everywhere.
I bought mine from the local hardware store.
Had them order me 100 of them and they gave me a price break on the larger quantity.
Iirc I can make them for less than a buck each powder coated in my favorite glow colors.

I clip 2 of them on the front of skirt on my flip down so it lays flat on the ice.

If it were all about cost very few people would make their own tackle.
I have the ability to make my own depth checkers so I do.
Not because of cost savings or because they're a better product.
But merely because I can and am less reliant on some tackle factory in China for doing so.
They're mine in my choice of colors. And kinda fun to make too.
Now I can and do make jigs that catch more fish than commercial jigs.
But that's another topic.
To the OP good luck in your quest to find the parts you seek.
I'll check my workshop and post some more info tomorrow on what I'm using.

I have also seen lead weights for holding down the edges of picnic table cloths with these clips- if you want your depth finder to resemble a hamburger or a travel trailer.
