Thank you.  :)
In Japan, finally ice fishing has just begun. I hope your lake will be frozen soon. My frabill ice shelter is insulated, but other Japanese shelter is not insulated, It's cloth like a camping tent.

Niru_04, I love seeing the pictures you post. It is awesome to see the similarities and the differences of how we fish on opposite sides of the world. Thanks for posting and keep them coming. Tight lines and stay warm and dry.

I went to Akagi Lake for smelt fishing on Sunday. Perhaps, I think that is the place where the nearest from Tokyo, and ice fishing is possible.

It's Japanese flip-over shelter, name is "snails". It is used frequently in this strong windy area.

I think fishing with people with different fishing culture is a lot of fun.
One of my dreams is to do ice fishing in USA with fishing friends.

There is an Iphone App that you can translate with, also I want to Add that you must be all right as you have A Ski Doo. What would be very good is to find an English speaking fisherman who is also skilled making sushi, that would be epic.

I was wondering if you all are limited to the number of lines and hooks on your rigs, they fish smelt with multiple lines in Maine.

That's a very interesting tackle. I have not seen it in Japan. A lot of fish seems to catch!

Today I went to dome boat on frozen lake and done smelt fishing.
It’s a boat of 22 people and the fee is about $ 35 a day.

Thank you. :)

Actually, it seems to be popular with beginners.
On Saturdays and Sundays it is full of them.
And it seems to be popular also for an expert who wants to concentrate only on fishing.

It’s asia, there’s always some hot water or tea going! My older family members still insist that I drink hot water and drinks when I visit, though sodas are usually available too (now).

This is a great Picture topic. Really cool to she the similarities and differences in ice fishing.

How well do the dome tents hold up to high winds and how many years can they last?
