Rapala Enduro 51 cc Auger cutting issue
« on: Jan 28, 2017, 09:40 AM »
Having cutting problems with my auger, changed the blades, checked the placement (yes they are on the right way).  It just doesn't seem to have the same cut as it did when I first got it, chatters a bit as well.  Anyone else have same issues or remedies?

Have you sharpened the blades since you got it? Did you cut threw Sand or dirt? I would sharpen them first.

They are actually brand new blades, just out of the package and used once since.

Hows the auger running ? I would check and retighten the blades evenly and also check that the auger to motor bolt is secured. If the motor is not running to par recommend SeaFoam .

Fill auger tank 1/4 w/proper oil/gas mix to that add Seafoam 2oz or more ...mix ....run auger till warmed up...then kill motor via the choke .....let sit half hour repeat ...let sit over night ...should fix some of the woes .

Should add location to your profile

How does the point look? They can be sharpened also.

this was a problem I had on my auger before as well the sleeve was loose so the point would shift. make sure its sharp and stationary.
