anyone know if the ice is still okay at Skegemog? ice report says 7" from days ago... still alright after this warm up and rain? any help would be appreciated. coming from Ionia/Kent county area, I want good safe ice, willing to travel for it haha.

I haven't been on it or heard reports on it lately, but most of the lakes up around the TC are pretty sloppy right now. The ones that had ice, still have it, but we got about 12" of snow last weekend. The lakes I have checked have the original ice, a few inches of slush, and then several inches of snow on top.

Was on Skegemog today. A good 7" of solid clear ice. 4" of slop and slush on top of that. Lots of guys out there. A whole lot of small perch, but you can sort to get some keepers.

Slushy.... At least the lakes ive visited in that area were and skegmog was that way a little over a week ago

Anyone know current ice conditions on Skegemog after last weekends snow and wind and this weeks warmer temps?
