Stopped by yesterday, there was ice pucks everywhere from previous break up, those were thick. The ice between them is only about 2 inches, after this cold weekend coming up should be good, didn’t go very far out bring a spud bar and definitely check as you go. There were a couple people out at Georgia shore just off shore, didn’t stop and check, this weekend will lock up a lot and open up some new fishing.
My passion for fishing and hunting, I owe to my Father and Uncle Art. RIP Art Rye, I will cherish all the days on the hard water we spent together and all the days in the woods. Miss you...

Georgia shore was good yesterday and today?
Perch hit hard until 8-8:30 both days.
Red and silver was the colors that worked for me.
Good luck.

Just back from Van Everest . lots of people fishing this am . Thinned out after noon. Surprised at how much ice. about 8 inches or more . I was out to 35 plus feet of water. Nice size fish but could have used a few more. I did get one 12" perch. Don't get too many of those . I put him back...they don't cook up well with the others.. Hope  everyone had a good weekend

I saw a couple trucks with trailers parked. I didn't see what they were riding but definitely enough ice for atv stuff  . If I had one i'd be headed to a little bay by eagle mountain .  ;)

Went back to Van Everest today . Caught some nice 8 inch perch but more in the 6-7 range . Talked to a few people out and seemed to be having the same kind of day. Nice out , lots of sun and the wind wasn't too bad. Surprised at how may people were out for a week day. 10 to 12 inches of ice from 15 feet to 40 feet . Could drive out but the ramp is a little tore up . First time that I brought the ION out this year. Like that 8 inch hole. A few guys were way out ...near the channel .

We were waiting for that Subaru to go thru! 😥

Nice day on the ice. I don't  think I've ever seen the parking area fuller. Good to see so many out. I brought home a few nice ones for a meal but the bite was slow for me. I see the car guy ran out of luck  ;D

The car guy didn't make it up the ramp when leaving. Then the tow service showed up. The ramp is pretty rough for a car to try. I have a tacoma with good tires and I didn't try it.

Went down to Van Everest  today and had good luck getting a nice mess on perch in the 8 to 10 inch range with a bunch of smaller ones that went back down the hole. The snowmobile tracks from over the weekend made for some nice walking paths. The south wind really picked up by midday. A couple of times I thought I was going to be taking a ride in my one man clam. Weather channel showed 22 mph. Not too many people out.

The ice and shore was good on Friday and the last few days sure haven't hurt anything ...single digits last couple nights and same for tonight they are forecasting.  I'll be heading down either tomorrow or Wednesday depending on the wind...I'll post what it looks like.  Hell we haven't even had to have a plank yet, best fishing coming. I don't know why people would be giving up already. But that's just me.
