Say it aint so... Just ran up to the gas station to get some smokes, and stepped on a bunch of nightcrawlers that were on the sidewalk!! The Robins can't be to far behind... Can they? Temps forcasted in low 50's for tommorrow!! Doesn't look good for getting back on the ice!! Sorry. Crappie Rob

daffydone:
Crappie rob, I have seen crawlers in the winter on warm wet days when the ground has thawed, and there is alot of rain and moister in the ground. I am not a bird expert, but if the birds are migrating back, then spring is on it's way, some birds can handle some cold weather, but food is the main priority. nature is usually a good indicator as to what to expect.migrations are usually around the same time every year, regardless of temps, unless food is short.

rico:
i saw on the indianapolis news the other day that there has been robin sightings in central indiana...no robins here or crawlers either...maybe an early spring will stop at I-70..... ;D

ChapstickCharlie:
Question is, do nightcrawlers eat morels? Maybe we need some ice.

turbojigger:
it's over for the ice until december 2006!!!
