Also, if you haven't been there before Johnny's and Pavinci's share the same parking lot. The boat ramp is on the bridge side of Johnny's building. I asked them to unhook the cable to make things a little easier, you can unload there and then park. You can also get on the ice at Pavinci's, you have to go behind that building and go out on the docks.

How was the fishing today? Was really looking forward to it but came down with a bad stomach bug this morning. Hopefully the ice holds up for next weekend.

I think overall we had a good turnout and a good time. I think the turnout total was 47.  It was nice see and meet everyone  :D. The fish could have cooperated a bit more but I still had FUN  ;D. I'll try and get a post up tomorrow with pic's.

                                    Congrat's to everyone !!  ;D

Lonewolf..  I arrived a bit late (10 AM) and didn't sign in... along with my two brothers and my 5 yr old son (with the yellow/blue snowsuit and red rabbit fur hat), there's 4 more to your total pushing it over 50...! (BTW... my son says "Thank you" to you for the jigs that were given out to the children at the end!  :))

Thanks for the great job to everyone for putting it together!... lots of fun!

I want to thank everyone involved in putting on this derby especially Lonewolf, Reb, JAW.  I also wanted to congratulate all the winners (especially my nephew Eddie). ;D  It was a great time and my son enjoyed his first icefishing experience even though the fish didn't want to cooperate.  It was a real pleasure meeting some of you and hope to see you out on the ice again.

Jiggingfoul,  I must admit the bucket spinner was me.  Thank god I had my Sit-N-Spin bait bucket to keep me occupied since the fish were apparently on vacation.   The bucket came in handy when it came to checking the tip-ups too.  One quick 360 degree spin and the tip-ups were checked.  By the way,  I received an anonymous tip that you were seen jigging out of my bucket on Saturday.  I don't have the proof yet but when It show's up I'll see if I can get it posted. :o

Jigginfoul, now I know how you got your name (lmao). I would have loved to share my Sit-N-Spin bait bucket but it takes practice.  I didn't want you to just get on it and look like a fool spinning around and around if front of the other fishermen.  There are certain bucket etiquette you must learn before attempting the art of spinning.  And do not try spinning on a regular bucket.  You've seen first hand that accidents can occur while spinning without the correct bucket.  May be this weekend I'll take you out for a spin! ;D

Jiggingfoul, Sit-N-Spin's are not for the weak at heart.  To properly achieve the mastering of bucket spinning you must throw caution to the wind.  This is a dangerous sport and should only be attempted by a trained professional such as myself.
