I've fished open water there, but some time ago I checked into this and they didn't allow ice fishing there.  Maybe they do now.  You could call the park office and ask.  In Maryland, the State Parks are generally more lenient than the county parks that don't let anyone on the ice (at least in Central MD).  So it's worth a call I guess.

I couldn't find any info on the web about this lake about ice fishing, but if it turns out that you can let me know and I'll add it to the reports section.  I heard this lake has a nice crappie population and it's well stocked with trout.  I've also caught bluegills and largemouth here.

I'll also try and research more.  UPDATE:  I emailed them and we'll see what the response is.  More to come!

I got a reply to my e-mail regarding ice fishing at Cunningham falls, here it is:

Quote
Kevin,  Ice fishing is not allowed on Cunningham Falls Lake.  Many state parks do however allow ice fishing.  It is usually up to the discretion of the Park Manager.  It is always best to check with each specific Park before attempting to ice fish.   Good Luck and Tight Lines

Oh well, we tried.  Perhaps if enough people call the park and request to fish they may change their policy.  Otherwise, we'll have to try the other state parks.  Perhaps there is something that leads the parks dept. to think that the ice here is not safe, like a lot of spring activity?
