try shucks lures. they are better quality than the halis and at $3 ea. for the 1 1/2in.they are a better bargain. made in the usa too! they have a 2in. also for the bigger fish. the shipping is alot more reasonable than other places ive ordered from. so far they work awesome for smelts and whitefish. my fav. colors are the pink and chartruse glow. the hooks and chains are alot tougher than the ones on the halis. my father caught a 24in. 4lb. laker on a light rod while fishing for smelt over the weekend and it never bent the hook on the 1 1/2in. even after a 10min. fight! i cant wait to try them for panfish downstate!

they are cheaper than halis, more well made, and made in the u.s.! ill never go back to halis! the only downside is theyre limited selections of colors but i think as they gain in popularity they will eventually expand the colors offered.

ive tried both. the shucks jures glow better therefore work better. ill pay a little extra for the made in usa label instead of giving it to china which is where fishyum buys thiers.

I got some and they work well. Caught some whities with one on Sunday. Good changeup lure from the setup I usually use.

A Northland forage minnow with the treble removed and replaced with a 5 inch piece of mono and then the little hook. Bingo just as good... Have used several different baits in this manner........even up to cleo size and they all work.......
