MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
My favorite line?....WET!
My favorite is the Lindy ice line, 2lb. It's getting tough to find though... I think they discontinued it. The stuff is like silk, even when it's very cold. Most of the copolymer ice lines are good. Just avoid anything that claims to be "100% flurocarbon" or "extra tough".
X2--- Me on one end, and a fish on the other!!
I didn't get out a lot last year, but the 4# Nanofil on my perch rods worked very well. I hope to find out this year how it holds up to heavy use.
Well everyone will have a different answer but I like 3 lb p-line flourice. I used to do the 2lb but I believe the 3lb is at least twice as strong. IMO monofilament comes with too much memory and a braid will most likely freeze up. I have caught plenty of nice walleyes and bass on the stuff with no problems and even a few nice northerns. Oh yeah- and plenty of perch!
