Are the BC Freshwater Fishing Licences valid Jan to Jan or April to April or what?? I'm thinking of entering the Merrit fishing derby and am wondering if I'll have to buy 2 Freshwater licences in 2011. Thanks for any replies.

Fishing licenses (and hunting for that matter) go with the government year which begins April 1st. So if you get a license now it go until March 31st to which you get a new one the next day. It's just the sooner in the year you get it, the more you can get out of it
