My wife won tickets last year and we went.  I came in eight place.  Not bad for never fishing the lake before.

I might go if my wife wins the tickets again.  I won about $500.00 in camping gear.

I will also be attending...and I'm dragging the wife with. Apparently if she wins the $10K she is buying a new rock to put on her ring ::), If I win, I get to buy her a new rock for her ring...... :-\ . Either way I'm still out fishing ;D
Go fish.

Is the derby just for walleye, or is it for all species?  Just wondering, looking at the entry form it looks like its just walleye?

Not just for walleye, infact i don't think there will be many walleye brought to the weigh station if any at all.

My reply to this topic got deleted, so I'll try this again with fewer details. My apologies to the mods if I broke any forum rules.

Glad to see so many familiar faces coming out this year, it is much appreciated!

gmk, due to Falcon Lake being in the Whiteshell Provincial Park, there is a slot size for the walleye that must be immediately released. All walleye between 45-70cm cannot be weighed in. You guys are correct, it is an all species tournament but a big pike usually takes home the $10,000. Last year's winning fish was 20.02lbs!

Thanks for your support,
Andrew Klassen
