Hitting da road in da A.M. to feed da addiction. Heading towards Houghton , but was hoping for any info on safe ice at St Helen.

Haven't heard anything about st helen but its usually one of the first ti freeze, also one of my favorite fishing lakes

How did you do Ronnie D? Was there good ice at St Helens? I fished there last February and had a blast. Have a trip planned again in a month. Hope to explore Houghton this time too.

My apologies for not posting up results but it's been a busy week. The night before i hit da road, i was informed about da backstabbers bonanza being cancelled, so i went to Missaukee & found 1/2 dozen slushies , swiss cheesing a marina that's no bigger than my backyard & no shore ice for access to da lake
Went back to Houghton & got 2 hammer handles on tipups.
Haven't got my spear wet all season & built a new single tine for da bonanza that's probably gonna stay dry till next
year. I'll be at Cadillac or Skemong in da next week & post some hardwater vines.

Thanks for the update Ronnie, stay positive the cold is coming!! I’ll be there feb 10-13, keep me posted. We had a SuperBowl fish fry last year, hoping to have another one!
