Post by: frostbite on Nov 17, 2003, 10:23 AM
Anybody know if I can buy a lazer mag auger for my mag2000 power head?

As far as I know the lower unit will interchange with all the power heads. E-mail SM to be sure. ;)

Not sure on which drill you mean.... the 9" Lazer Mag Ultra?? Yes you can, I have a Reeds filier in front of me right now that lists them at $140 on one page but $155 on another page........

It does say that all Strikemaster drills will fit their power heads.

I like the 3 blade design (once they perfected it), its just spendy to replace/sharpen the blades.

thanks for the feed back guys! Yeah, I've heard that about the lazer blades, but I think it's worth it if I'm going to be drilling 50-75 holes a trip just for the extra speed. I really like the mag2000 but, the cutting speed leaves something to be desired.

Yea 3 cutting surfaces vs 1 or 2........

Last season  I hit the edge of a froze over old hole.. The old hole was full of beer cans  >:(  That sure did a number on my blades!!!

Slobs! What kind of idiot does something like that. I wouldn't think it would be a problem carring the cans back, they had to carry them out there didn't they? >:(

I was thinking of the lazer mag express only two blades to worry about, and I've heard about ice up problems on the 3 blade model.
