Great sunrise. Worked hard for a dozen perch and two eyes. Fished west of Chapman's closer to the island.  As always, a good time.

I should have given you some of my perch when you gave me those eyes.  Didn't think of it until u were a mile away. I can't believe you drove home after sunset, that was a long day for you. New hitch for big hut will be here tomorrow...and it will be ready for next weekend. I'm making up for time lost due to poor ice conditions the last two years.

Not so EPIC fishing and sled repair!!! Your right... no making this stuff up!!!🤨
Epically Bad repair - I am ready for open water,  I have to show you that ice out smallmouth bite, it was the must fun I had last year.

Picking sled up today, told him to put it back together and I'll take it somewhere else.  Unbelievable, who orders the wrong part twice for 2 different engine sizes, now 3 weeks later they are saying it's the stator. At this point we only have 5-6 weeks left anyway.  They also screwed up my auger repair, I told him it was leaking gas and not running right probably the carb, so they clean out the exhaust and say it's fixed, really - I laid it in my garage overnight and it lost half a tank of gas on the floor.

Eryne - keep moving if you're not on good fish, they can definitely run together. Location, just depends on the year, some areas that were loaded a fews years ago are dead this year.  Usually when I'm around pins, meaning walleye less than 10" or so I'll move, I think these guys get active when the big eyes aren't around to scare them off - just a guess on what really happens but in my experience pins are not a good sign.

I’ll take it!!! It’s going to smell a lot worse when I’m done with it... that XL hoodie should give me about 30 days worth of wipes when I go to the bathroom!!!!🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Went back out to our numbers near shack this  a.m in the snowstorm.. caught quite a few shorts a keeper and a few perch 11 before the wind chased us off for a bit. Came back out around 2 and finished off a couple limits by dark.. tough bite today but that last hour was worth the grind.. i wish i could post some pics

Fished all day Saturday and caught 14 perch between my son & myself. (mostly my son). But we had allot of fun chasing flags. Most of the time it seams like they would take the minnow & then drop it. Better than taking the wife shopping.
Use treble hooks on those perch, small but sharp new ones you will lose less fish. Just an idea.

3 foot wide pressure cracke between Cleveland and Shakleton shoal about 3+ miles out. A guy got his back wheels stuck in it, the shanty he was towing kept him from going in. Seems there was A similar one A couple years ago.

Hate those cracks, snow covers them with a thin layer of ice and they can change by the hour

DeadEyez some of us know who holds the creative talent and who takes ideas for their own monetary gain. We just won't patronize people that drop to that level, period. And yes Trapper, perhaps the IRS should be included! Time to go fishing! How about that barometer folks...... ::)

My buddy hit that crack on our way in from Shackleton yesterday a.m.. whiteout didn't help but the crack was just snowed over and open 2-3'.. put his back wheels in i got over it and dragged him out quick with my quad. Coulda been worse thats for sure.. went in dried off a bit and went back out to finish up our limits off of the condos for the evening.. does that count in the diehard category? 😁😁

Nice job staying on the bite caliking! Wow 6-7" of new snow, an hour south we only got a dusting. Glad everything worked out well on the pressure crack. Enjoy your day!
